Zurad Selected for Cancer Control Program

TUNKHANNOCK, PA (May 30, 2014) – Dr. Edward Zurad has been selected to partner with Pennsylvania Colorectal Cancer Control Program as one of 13 community-based organizations. The goal of the program is to increase access and delivery of colorectal cancer screenings to medically underserved populations in Pennsylvania. The program is funded by the Centers for Disease Control. Zurad’s successful proposal included initiatives to increase awareness and uptake of colorectal cancer screenings of rural, blue-collar workers using one-on-one education. Zurad is a member of the medical staff at Tyler Memorial Hospital, Tunkhannock.
