Tully Named CHS Division V Manager of the Year
1/21/2015
Ann Tully, R.N., Clinical Manager of the Mom/Baby unit at Commonwealth Health Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton, earned a prestigious award recently as she was named the Division V Clinical Manager of the Year for Community Health Systems.
Tully, an Olyphant resident, is a 40-year member of the Moses Taylor staff and has been a nurse manager on the telemetry unit for the last 25 years.
Tully was called on to fill a management vacancy in the intensive care unit and graciously accepted. Within weeks, she helped stabilize the unit thanks to a clear but simple strategy to help guide the staff.
Once the ICU was back on track, another leadership position in the Mom/Baby unit opened and Tully was once again asked to assist.
Tully brought confidence, competence and a fresh perspective to the department.
Most recently, in addition to the Mom/Baby unit, Tully assumed leadership responsibilities for the Labor/Birth department where she continued to motivate, inspire and influence nurses on yet another crucial unit.
Tully will receive an all-expenses paid weekend with one guest to Nashville, which is near the Community Health Systems corporate headquarters.
Moses Taylor Hospital is one of 34 hospitals in five states in Division V.
