Interventional Cardiologist Joins Commonwealth Health

SCRANTON, Pa. (Aug. 4, 2016) -- Nishant Sethi, M.D., has joined Commonwealth Health Great Valley Cardiology and the medical staffs of Regional Hospital of Scranton and Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Dr. Sethi has special interests in complex coronary interventions, valvular heart disease, peripheral vascular disease, intravascular physiology and imaging. Dr. Sethi is experienced in transcatheter aortic valve replacement, or TAVR, a procedure designed for select patients with severe symptomatic aortic stenosis who are not candidates for traditional open chest surgery.
He earned a medical degree from Kasturba Medical College Manipul, India, and completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Connecticut Health Center. Dr. Sethi completed a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, N.Y., and an interventional cardiology fellowship at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in New Jersey.
He is a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Cardiology, and American Society of Nuclear Cardiology.
Dr. Sethi is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, nuclear cardiology, and adult echocardiography.
