Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist to Discuss New, Robotic-Assisted Surgery

SCRANTON, Pa. (June 12, 2018) – Mark Frattali, M.D., will present a free seminar on robotic-assisted surgery in ear, nose and throat at 6 p.m. June 26 at Commonwealth Health Regional Hospital of Scranton’s General Services Building, 743 Jefferson Ave., Scranton.
Dr. Frattali, who is an independent medical staff member at Commonwealth Health Moses Taylor Hospital and Regional Hospital of Scranton will discuss TORS (TransOral Robotic Surgery). TORS is an advanced, minimally invasive technique that allows removal of benign and malignant tumors of the mouth and throat. It may improve the way head and neck cancer patients are treated by completely removing tumors while preserving speech, swallowing and other quality of life issues.
