Dr. Karthik Penumetsa joins Wilkes-Barre General Hospital

Gastroenterologist Karthik Penumetsa, MD, has joined the medical staff at Commonwealth Health Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Dr. Penumetsa is board-certified in internal medicine, and certified in radiofrequency to treat Barrett's Disease. He also has undergone advanced training in endoscopic mucosal resection.
Dr. Penumetsa earned a bachelor of science degree from State University of New York, Buffalo, and a medical degree from St. Matthew's University, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands.
He completed a three-year residency at West Virginia University School of Medicine.
Dr. Penumetsa served as chief medical resident of West Virginia University School of Medical, Veterans Memorial Hospital and recently completed a two-year gastroenterology fellowship at West Virginia School of Medicine.
His office is located at 610 Wyoming Avenue, Kingston PA.
