Coslett Named CMO at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (Oct. 11, 2016) – Douglas S. Coslett, M.D., of Harveys Lake, has been named chief medical officer at Commonwealth Health Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Dr. Coslett grew up in Kingston, graduated summa cum laude from King’s College and earned a medical degree from the Sidney Kimmel School of Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia.
He completed a residency at Lankenau Hospital, Wynnewood, Pa., and practiced obstetrics and gynecology for 23 years in Berwick, Sugarloaf and Luzerne, limiting his practice to gynecology in the last 15 years.
Dr. Coslett served as a board member and president of the medical staff at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital and was on its medical executive committee for seven years, serving as chairman of the credentials committee and as a physician mentor for high reliability and safety.
He and his wife Kathleen have two daughters, Gabrielle and Dominique.
