Commonwealth Hospice of NEPA Holds Memorial Service

Commonwealth Hospice of NEPA, an affiliate of Commonwealth Health, recently held a memorial service in honor of the hospice patients who received care during the last year. Held at Regional Hospital, Scranton, the service offered attendees a forum to share their memories and inspirational messages with one another.
More than 125 people attended the afternoon event, with Rev. Howard Woodruff of Elm Park United Methodist Church serving as guest speaker. Music was provided by the Scranton High School String Quartet, under the direction of Bridget Yerke. Veterans also were recognized in honor of Veterans Day.
Commonwealth Hospice of NEPA is a regional leader in home-based and inpatient hospice care, providing nursing care and home visits, 24-hour on-call service, respite care, emotional and spiritual support to patients throughout the region. The service also provides bereavement services to their patients’ families.
