Commonwealth Health Announces Contract with UPMC Health Plan

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (Aug. 28, 2018) – Commonwealth Health announced today that it has signed a contract with UPMC Health Plan that provides in-network access to UPMC Health Plan members.
The agreement applies to the UPMC Health Plan commercial and Medicaid products, providing many of the insurer’s members with in-network access to Commonwealth Health services.
The contract includes the six Commonwealth Health hospitals and Commonwealth Health Physician Network which employs primary care providers and specialists who are on the medical staff of the facilities. The hospitals are: Berwick Hospital Center; First Hospital, Kingston; Moses Taylor Hospital and Regional Hospital of Scranton; Tyler Memorial Hospital, Tunkhannock, and Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Commonwealth Health Physician Network includes the InterMountain Medical Group, Physicians Health Alliance, Berwick Medical Professionals and Great Valley Cardiology.
