Commonwealth Health Presents Free Hernia Screening Clinic

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (Nov. 1, 2017) – Commonwealth Health will hold a free hernia screening clinic from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 11 at Mohegan Sun Pocono Convention Center, Highway 315, Plains Township.
The clinic is designed to educate individuals on the signs and symptoms of hernia, a common but often misunderstood condition. Physicians will explain the importance of early detection and discuss the minimally invasive procedure for repair of a hernia. A hernia can develop in men and women and patients may experience nausea, groin pain, notice a bulge or have no symptoms.
The program will include a demonstration of the robotic-assisted technology offered by Commonwealth Health. Free screenings will be available following the presentation.
