NAMI Names Commonwealth Health Crisis Center Award Recipient

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (Oct. 19, 2018) – The Commonwealth Health Crisis Response and Recover Center at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital was awarded the 2018 Lester Verano Advocacy Award by the National Alliance on Mental Illness Luzerne-Wyoming Counties Chapter. The presentation was made at the group’s recent annual candlelight service held at the King’s College Chapel, Wilkes-Barre. This award is presented annually to an individual or organization in recognition of the efforts they’ve made toward improving the lives of people with mental illness. The award celebrates exception work, commitment, and advocacy in helping people living with mental illness.
