Commonwealth Health Unveils Vehicle Dedicated to Fallen Heroes

SCRANTON, Pa. (Oct. 23, 2018) – Commonwealth Health Emergency Medical Services (CHEMS) today unveiled a vehicle dedicated to fallen heroes who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
The ambulance, which made its public debut at the CHEMS headquarters on Remington Avenue, includes the names of 25 individuals who died during the last 20 years in Lackawanna and Luzerne counties while serving the community. The fallen heroes include members of the military, law enforcement, fire companies and first responders.
Representatives of the City of Scranton joined families of some of the deceased heroes at the unveiling.
The vehicle will be put into service for CHEMS which serves Lackawanna. Luzerne, Wyoming, Columbia, Pike and Wayne counties. It also will be available, on request, to appear at community events including veterans and memorial programs and parades.
The design was created by Daniel Sun, artist, and Jason Saar, who created and applied the vinyl decal.
