Commonwealth Health Raises Stroke Awareness at Paint Night Event
6/18/2018
Commonwealth Health Regional Hospital of Scranton recently held its second annual “Creative Strokes for Stroke” paint night. The event took place in May at Spirited Art in Dickson City. May is designated as National Stroke Awareness Month. The paint night was open to anyone in the community who wanted to attend. The goal of the class was to raise awareness about the signs and symptoms of stroke and to teach the importance of calling 9-1-1 immediately, if signs of a stroke should occur. The stroke awareness event raised $700 for the American Stroke Association.
