COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements For Employees

Currently, Commonwealth Health has not made the COVID-19 vaccine mandatory. Our hospitals continue to follow CDC guidelines which do not require healthcare providers to be vaccinated but do require the masking of all providers and individuals in a healthcare setting. A majority of our caregivers have chosen -- and increasing numbers of the staff are choosing -- to be vaccinated. To ensure the safety of our patients, colleagues and others we will be instituting routine COVID-19 testing of all unvaccinated hospital and clinic staff beginning the week of September 6, 2021.
