Alcohol & Drug Rehabilitation
Chemical dependency affects one in every three American families. At CHOICES (Chemical Dependency Treatment), we understand that dependency is a medically diagnosable primary disease that is chronic, progressive and potentially fatal. For that reason, the substance abuse treatment programs at CHOICES have been designed specifically to provide the foundation for a life of recovery in a pleasant, supportive atmosphere.
CHOICES offers a range of professional addiction treatment services to meet the needs of everyone from adolescents to seniors.
What’s more, CHOICES employs a team approach to treatment, relying on the compassion and experience of talented experts such as a board-certified physician, registered nurses, LPNs, therapists, certified addiction counselors and support staff. Through the programs, we provide for the physical, mental and spiritual needs of each individual throughout the treatment process.

Many people who require substance abuse treatment find it difficult to admit the need for professional help. Consequently, the drug or alcohol abuser often decides to seek treatment only after family members, friends, school counselors or colleagues intervene.
Whether the decision is based on personal motivation or involves the guidance, support or encouragement of others, seeking professional help to end an addiction is the beginning of treatment for the drug or alcohol abuser.
To help motivate the client and his or her support persons to seek treatment, CHOICES offers a number of important services, including:
-
Free initial consultation
-
Family education
-
Introduction to 12-step philosophy
-
After-care and family counseling
The Importance of Family Involvement
Substance abuse often affects more individuals than the abuser alone. In fact, the abuser’s family, friends and other loved ones usually face monumental challenges living with or caring for a person facing substance abuse. That’s why we try to involve loved ones whenever possible as a means of assisting a person through his or her recovery.
It’s true that the possibility of recovery for substance abusers is greatly enhanced when family members and friends take an active, supportive role in the recovery process. Abusers often draw a real sense of strength knowing that the people they care about the most are standing beside them through a difficult process. The support of family and friends can make all the difference.
Our family program is offered at no cost to those who play a significant role in the substance abuser’s life.
Community Outreach
CHOICES offers a variety of programs designed to educate the public about chemical dependency and its effects on the individual, family and community. Members of CHOICES’ professional staff are available for speaker engagements to local businesses, schools, and community and professional organizations.
